Two Tall Distilling
Objective
Nick Hanson and Dave Farnia, a pair of engineers and friends, sought to create a distilled beverage company that would reflect the character of their central Wisconsin home. While they had the vision and technical know-how to create the start-up, they turned to Affina for help creating a brand.
Strategy
We began by exploring naming options including those that played off the Wisconsin angle and the scientific viewpoint the owners planned to bring to the distilling process. The founders, however, chose a playful name that played on a fun personal trait: They are two tall guys, after all.
Outcome
With Two Tall Distilling decided upon, we developed a logo with an elongated feel that conveys the idea of height in a “person” shape with a hand-drawn feel. We then developed bottle labels that expanded up this unique look.
